Concha Worth, Lecturer at the University of West Florida, is as an Art Historian specializing in iconography and Spanish Art. Concha has a deep appreciation and understanding for the beauty and symbolism of the Art from her native, Seville Spain. She earned her degree in Art History from the University of Seville in 1990. Since moving to the United States 18 years ago, she has shared her passion and commitment through education and guest lectures. Join Concha for her presentation about the rich cultural history of Seville’s art and artists at Artel Gallery in Old Seville Square. How many times have you thought to yourself “I wonder how the Artel juror is going to judge the show?” Now is your chance to find out! Virginia Vanneman, juror for the upcoming “The Green Show”, will offer guidance and inspiration with her presentation about the eco-art movement of today. She will address how artists are responding to the changing social, political and environmental demands of renewable resources. Virginia earned her M.A. in Arts Administration and Education from the University of South Florida, has taught extensively in classrooms throughout Florida for 20 years, is a successful photographer and has pieces in the local Cinco Banderas Collection.
